BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Oil production at the Azeri Central East (ACE) platform in Azerbaijan is expected to start from 2024, BP’s project manager for the platform Neal Phillips told reporters, Trend reports.

According to Phillips, in the first quarter of 2023, the installation of the lower part of the ACE platform is planned to begin.

“The upper part of the platform is still under construction. After installing the lower part and preparing the upper part, we will proceed with the installation of the upper part. Then we plan to start developing the land in late 2023- early 2024. ,” he added.

The Azeri Central East (ACE) project is centered on a new 48-place production, drilling and quartering platform located midway between the existing Central Azeri and East Azeri platforms at a water depth of about 140 meters.

The project will also include new field pipelines to transfer oil and gas from the ACE platform to the existing ACG Phase 2 oil and gas export pipelines for transportation to the onshore Sangachal terminal.

In addition, a water injection pipeline will be installed between the East Azeri and ACE platforms to supply injection water from the Central Azeri compression and water injection platform to the ACE facilities. .
