Lady Gaga is turning on her beauty guru mode.

On June 27, the Grammy Award winner showed off her makeup skills in her first-ever YouTube makeup tutorial in collaboration with Sephora. In the step-by-step video, she completed her “everyday artistic” look – consisting of bright pastel-hued makeup – using a full face from her own cruelty-free and vegan Haus Labs beauty line.

Before getting into the tips, the video began with clips of the “Hold My Hand” singer introducing herself, showing off the quirky side of the star.

She then moved on to her beauty look, starting with Hy-Power pigment paint in “Blush Matte”, applying the multi-use product to her cheekbones and temples and dabbing the excess onto her brow bone for “a extra color”.

After filling in her brows with Edge Precision Brow Pencil, she bronzed her cheeks with Power Sculpt Velvet Bronzer (moving her brush in circular motions to blend) and coated her lips with a mauve-pink tint and a glossy lip oil.

In true Gaga fashion, she then “amped up” the makeup with rose quartz-colored gel highlighter on her cheeks (and dust on her shoulders), bright yellow eye pigment – which she used to create a winged liner that extended into the corners of her eyes – and a black and white eyeliner duo on her lower lash line.

“I’m super proud of it. I think it’s good to be proud of your artistry, I think it’s important to have fun,” she said after completing the colorful look.

The The star is born The actress ended the video by reminiscing about her beauty journey, saying, “I remember when I was very young I would look at makeup artistry store windows and dream of the person I felt inside who I didn’t feel expressed on the outside.”

She also credited the beauty community for inspiring her to “be myself and love who I am.”

Overall, from her video transitions to her product monologues and perfect swatches, we’d say she’s a makeup tutorial pro!

In May, the Oscar winner announced the exclusive launch of Haus Labs at Sephora alongside a new line of acclaimed products.

“I’m extremely thrilled to announce that we’re bringing a whole new supercharged and clean makeup artistry to the world, through a place that has inspired me for years, Sephora!” Gaga wrote on Instagram. “At Haus Labs, art is for everyone, and no one should have to damage their skin or sacrifice their principles and values to express themselves with high-performance makeup.”

The creation of Haus Labs was a natural continuation of Gaga’s own beauty philosophy.

In September 2019, following the brand’s launch, the “Born This Way” singer opened up about her relationship with makeup and her stage persona in an interview with Seduce for her best beauty number.

“I put makeup on and before I know it I feel this superhero inside. It gives me these wings to fly,” she told the outlet. “When I became Lady Gaga when I was younger, it was because I discovered makeup. It means so much to me on a deep visceral level – the power of makeup to change how you feel when you’re at the lowest.”
