Digital mental health platform has launched its merchandise with messaging for people to live the slow-to-heal life. “Today, World Health Day, is the best day to help people understand that the culture of hustle and bustle causes disease, especially stress and depression,” shares the mastermind behind Unhurry , Aradhna Chhachhi, the 24-year-old entrepreneur.

Apart from Chhachhi, the other female partners of Unhurry are Dr. Bhavana Gautam, Palak Bhalla Ahuja, Prachi Wasnikar and Rachna Chhachhi who is a well-known nutritional therapist and an expert in nutrition and cancer metastasis.

“Over the past year, Aradhna has tirelessly pushed each and every one of us to release this merchandise so people can take a break to heal,” says Dr. Bhavana Gautam, Emotional Wellness Expert and MBBS Partner, Unhurry, which has a large part of its clientele of professionals.

During the lockdown, spread the message to pause and breathe. With esteemed contributors like Dr. Samir Parikh of Fortis Mental Health; S. Sivakumar, Group Leader – ITC Agri & Tech; Neerja Shah, former editor and publisher, Elle Magazine; Kamal Brar, stoma warrior; Neha Sahu, warrior and PCOS activist; Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Psoriasis Warrior, Quality Process Approach Expert; Dr. Farah Adam, MBBS, Postpartum Depression Activist and others, Unhurry’s merchandise reflects the same message – relax, untangle and take a break.

Unhurry merchandise has very clear messages on t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, coasters, yoga bricks, saying Unhurry, Untangle Yourself, Spiritual Leader Inside, Sleep is the best Meditation and more others like this. Other products are in the works to help people “rest” – essential oil diffusers, scented candles, newspapers. And they all have a common theme, reminding people to live the slow life.

So what prompted this young entrepreneur to launch this brand? Aradhna Chhachhi’s mother was in the corporate sector when she was 6, she recalls. “By the time I was 9, she had already been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and I literally watched her go from a vibrant young woman to being bedridden with a foggy brain and deformities in her hands and feet. She saw her mother rebuild through the power of yoga and nutrition. “I saw a drastic transformation in her when she decided to feed herself,” she recalls.

Aradhna has gone through her own health issues. At the age of 18, she was diagnosed with PCOS, fibromyalgia and the onset of multiple sclerosis. It was only through the power of yoga and nutrition that she stabilized and her markers of inflammation and disease came back within range. She cured herself and got certified in yoga and nutrition to help other struggling young girls like her.

So did this young woman ever want to join the corporate culture? “I am WSET certified and a specialist in French wine. I got a prestigious position in a very well-known luxury five-star hotel as a sommelier,” shares Aradhna. “But then I stopped and thought – my working hours are going to be 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Is this the life I want? Is this the life everyone can have and still be in? good health?” she asked.

A portion of the proceeds from Unhurry’s sales will go to the Access Life Assistance Foundation, an NGO that provides shelter, nutrition and support to underprivileged children battling cancer. Ankeet Dave, co-founder of Access Life, says, “I’ve seen the whole Unhurry team come to our centers and be with the kids. Awareness is key to supporting any cause. It has the ability to change mindsets and impact lives. We are grateful to be educated and supported through proceeds from the sales of Unhurry merchandise.

Let change begin within us, with us. If such a young person can stand apart from the crowds and oppose the culture of hustle and bustle, so can each of us. On this World Health Day, let’s not rush for good health.
