The Living Food platform focused on fresh foods has secured $ 7.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Amasia. The cycle also saw the participation of SOSV, Blume Founders Fund, Xander Group founder Sid Yog and Nexus Venture Partners co-founder Sandeep Singhal, among others.

The company plans to expand its presence to Mumbai and then other cities throughout this year, while strengthening its logistics and technology solutions and rolling out new brands with new capital.

Living Food claims to deliver local and high quality products to its customers on the very day they are harvested or produced. Living Food Co Pvt Ltd was founded in 2018 as a farm-to-table subscription service with a vertical temperature controlled hydroponic farm. Since then it has expanded to include over 700 storage units (SKUs) across 24 categories in Bangalore, including seasonal fruits, leafy greens, fresh breads, artisan chocolates, spreads and sauces and cold pressed oil.

“We have found plenty of growth opportunities while remaining focused only on Bangalore. This round table testifies to our constant desire to transform the eating habits of our consumers. We did this by providing access to a wide selection of fresh, clean and credible foods through our fast and innovative fresh food supply chain, ”said Akash Sajith, Founder and CEO of Living Food.
