Frosted Orange Cake

A light bite.

Nothing makes an occasion more festive than a beautiful cake. This recipe brings delicious citrus candy to the table, and offers a light bite that can be enjoyed both after dinner for dessert or with coffee in the morning.

Ingredients

Cake:

  • 2¼ cups cake flour
  • 2¼ tsp. baking powder
  • 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1¼ cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C. vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. grated orange zest
  • ¾ cup of skimmed milk

Icing:

  • 3 ounces low fat cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. skimmed milk
  • 6 tbsp. Cocoa powder without sugar
  • 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

For the cake:
